How to Solve the Puzzles
Refer this and create as per KDP requirement for publishing book.
Sudoku
Fill the 9x9 grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box contains the numbers 1 through 9. Each number can only appear once in each row, column, and box. Use the provided numbers as clues to deduce the rest.
Word Search
Find and circle the hidden words from the word bank. Words can be hidden horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and they can be spelled forwards or backwards. Every letter in the grid is a potential part of a word!
Mazes
Find the continuous path from the start point (usually marked 'S' or an opening) to the exit point. There is only one correct path that connects the start and the end without crossing any solid walls.
Cryptograms
A cryptogram is a puzzle where a famous quote has been encrypted using a letter substitution cipher. This means every letter of the alphabet has been replaced by a different letter (e.g., all 'A's might become 'X's). Use logic, common letter frequencies, and small words (like "A", "I", "THE") to crack the code and reveal the quote!
Word Scrambles (Anagrams)
The letters of each word have been completely mixed up. Rearrange the letters to form a real word that fits on the blank line provided next to it.
Number Search
Similar to a word search, but instead of letters, you are searching for specific sequences of numbers in a grid of random digits. The number sequences can run horizontally, vertically, diagonally, forwards, or backwards.
Nonograms (Picross / Logic Pictures)
The numbers on the top and left sides of the grid are clues. They tell you the length of unbroken lines of filled (black) squares in that row or column. For example, a clue of "3 2" means there is a set of 3 filled squares, followed by at least one empty square, followed by a set of 2 filled squares. Use logic to figure out which squares must be filled and which must be empty!
Kakuro (Cross Sums)
Kakuro is like a crossword puzzle with numbers. The numbers in the shaded triangles are clues. You must fill the empty white squares with digits from 1 to 9 so that the sum of the digits in each horizontal or vertical "word" equals the clue number pointing to it. Important: A digit cannot be repeated within the same "word" (e.g., to get a sum of 4 in two squares, you must use 1 and 3, not 2 and 2).
Killer Sudoku
Killer Sudoku combines Sudoku and Kakuro. The standard Sudoku rules apply (1-9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box). In addition, the grid is divided into dotted outlines called "cages". The number in the top-left corner of each cage represents the sum of the digits inside that cage. Digits cannot repeat within a cage.
Calcudoku (KenKen)
Fill the grid with numbers so that no number repeats in any row or column. The grid is divided into heavily outlined cages containing a target number and a mathematical operation (+, -, ×, ÷). The numbers within each cage must produce the target number using the specified operation.
Futoshiki
Fill the grid with numbers from 1 to the grid size (e.g., 1-5 for a 5x5 grid) such that no number repeats in any row or column. In addition, you must respect the inequality symbols (> and <) placed between some adjacent cells, which dictate which neighbor must be larger or smaller.
Hashi (Bridges)
Connect the "islands" (circles with numbers) with horizontal or vertical bridges. The number on an island indicates exactly how many bridges must connect to it. Islands can be connected by one or two bridges. Bridges cannot cross each other or go over other islands. All islands must eventually be interconnected in a single network.
Slitherlink
Connect adjacent dots with horizontal or vertical lines to form a single, continuous loop. The loop cannot cross itself or branch off. The numbers inside some of the squares indicate exactly how many lines border that specific square. Squares without numbers can have any number of border lines.
Crossword
Fill the white squares with letters to form interlocking words, reading across and down. Use the numbered clues provided below the grid to deduce the correct words.
Suguru
Fill each region with digits from 1 to the size of the region. The same digit cannot touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Tents & Trees
Place a tent horizontally or vertically adjacent to each tree. Tents cannot touch each other, not even diagonally. The numbers outside the grid show how many tents are in each row or column.
Star Battle
Place exactly one (or two, depending on the puzzle) star in every row, column, and outlined region. Stars cannot touch each other, even diagonally.
Binary Puzzle
Fill the grid with 0s and 1s. Every row and column must contain an equal number of 0s and 1s. No more than two of the same number can sit next to or below each other.
Akari (Light Up)
Place lightbulbs to illuminate the entire grid. Bulbs shine horizontally and vertically until they hit a black square. Bulbs cannot shine on each other. A number in a black square indicates how many bulbs share an edge with it.
Shikaku
Divide the grid into rectangles (and squares). Each rectangle must contain exactly one number, which represents its area in grid squares.
Battleship Solitaire
Find the hidden fleet of ships. Ships can be placed horizontally or vertically but cannot touch each other, even diagonally. Numbers outside the grid indicate how many ship segments are in that row or column.
Minesweeper
Locate the hidden mines. A number in a cell reveals exactly how many mines are hidden in the 8 surrounding cells (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally).
Slant
Draw a diagonal line (either or /) in every cell. Lines cannot form closed loops. A number at a grid intersection indicates how many lines connect to that point.
